Department of Physiology and Cell Biology University of Nevada Reno
A postdoctoral position is available. Candidates will seek to enhance his/her opportunities in the field of cardiovascular research. In these positions, he/she will explore novel therapeutic strategies to prevent vascular remodeling such as atherosclerosis and restenosis.
We are particularly interested in electrophysiological mechanisms of cell activations during vascular remodeling. The successful candidates will be highly self-motivated individuals. Ripe experience on molecular biology and/or electrophysiology in the field of cardiovascular research is required. Prior experience in studying cultured cell assays, viral transfection/transduction and/or patchclamping is highly desirable.
Available projects are NIH-funded, and competitive salary and benefits package are offered.
