A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sujoy Ghosh at the Biomedical Biotechnology Research Institute, North Carolina Central University, to conduct novel analyses of genome-wide association study data in cardio-metabolic disorders. A recent (1-3 yrs) Ph.D in Genetic Epidemiology, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistical Genetics or Statistics is required. Applicant must be an independent thinker with excellent collaborative and communication skills. The candidate must be familiar with handling and manipulation of large, multidimensional data sets. Fluency in the use of statistical tools including, but not limited to, SAS, R, and JMP is required. Must be able to identify emergent analytic tools and concepts and implement them in own analysis. Familiarity with genetic association data and GWAS analysis programs such as PLINK, BEAM and Mendel is highly desirable.
