The Jaycee Burn Center is one of the most clinically active in the country. Numerous research questions are generated from the daily care of our patients. The population we service is diverse and representative of the state as a whole. The burn community, our state and local community would benefit from robust research and publication of data in peer- reviewed journals and books. A Burn Clinical Research Fellow would greatly improve our clinical research productivity.

The clinical research fellow ideally should have completed an internship in surgery or medicine and have some experience with the care of burn patients either through burn service rotation or clinical burn fellowship. He/ she would coordinate with the Burn Center's clinical research team and help prepare IRB submissions, design clinical studies and trials, write case reports and case series as well as work with faculty providers to identify areas that should be studied and help with manuscript preparation. Salary should be commensurate with that of a clinical burn fellow. The position should be contracted for one year with option to extend based on recommendation from Burn Center Director.
