University of California Los Angeles

Requisition Number: JPF05534

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Elaine F. Reed, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (https://reedlab.dgsom.ucla.edu). The research focuses on mechanisms of ischemia reperfusion injury and transplant rejection and understanding the cross-talk between innate and adaptive immunity during ischemia reperfusion injury. The project will (1) delineate the pathological signature of liver ischemia reperfusion injury by histological and transcriptome profiling of human liver transplant biopsies and (2) investigate the role of alloantigen specific T cell memory in potentiating liver ischemia reperfusion injury. The candidate will benefit from a highly collaborative and diverse team of investigators including experts in transplantation, immunology, biostatistics, and computational immunology at the University of California Los Angeles.

The candidate should be a Ph.D. candidate or recent Ph.D. graduate or M.D./Ph.D with a strong background in one or more relevant areas including in immunology, cell and/or molecular biology.
