德国马克斯·普朗克医学研究所提供化学神经生物学博士后职位

Job Description

At the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, one of the 86 institutes of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, physicists, chemists and biologists create knowledge of long-term relevance to life and basic medical sciences.

The position

A postdoctoral position in chemical neurobiology is available at the Department of Chemical Biology (Prof. Kai Johnsson) of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg. The goal of the project is the development of novel chemogenetic tools for the analysis of neuronal activities in animal models. The project is based on previous advances of the Department of Chemical Biology and should open up entirely new ways of studying questions in neurobiology and other fields of biology.

Your qualifications

Candidates should be highly motivated and prepared to work within a truly multidisciplinary team. Priority will be given to candidates with a proven track record in protein engineering and/or neurosciences. A willingness to master challenges in data analysis is furthermore important for success.
