  Job Description

  We are seeking applicants for a two-year postdoc in Plant Molecular Biology to join us at the Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark. working on plant microbiome

  Starting Date and Period The position is for 2 years and is available from October 1st 2020 or as soon as possible hereafter.

  Job description This position is part of the project studying the role of microbial genes for microbiota establishment in plants, which is a collaborative project between Aarhus University and Aalborg University.

  The Postdoctoral candidate is expected to take responsibility for the ongoing investigation on Lotus japonicus microbiota analyses using microbial communities of different complexities. Training and experience with plant microbiota analyses and background in using bioinformatics for analyzing the experimental data is expected.

  Your profile Applicants must have a relevant Ph.D. e.g. in molecular biology. Additional experience from postdoctoral employment is an advantage.

  Applicants should be self-driven and capable of planning and conducting own research while willing to collaborate closely in an international team. Good communication skills in written and spoken English language are essential, and candidates should have a good publication record with clear contributions as first author.

  Who we are The project is carried out in collaboration between Aarhus University and Aalborg University. We seek frequent communication and informal discussions amongst the teams.
