  美国加州洛杉矶分校博士后职位

  Postdoctoral Fellows positions/Translational Cancer Research

Dr. Chengyu Liang’s laboratory at the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, located in the Health Science Campus, is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scholars to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the DNA repair pathway in skin melanoma prevention/immunotherapy, and fellows to investigate the impact of the lysosomal pathway in kidney cancer development.

Research in Liang Lab is centered on understanding the basic principle of cellular processes including autophagy, apoptosis, DNA damage/repair, and intracellular trafficking to answer key questions in cancer development and infectious disease. We make use of cutting-edge technology including omic study, confocal microscopy/live cell imaging, primary and tumor cell culture, and murine model for cancer and virus-related research. Our lab is multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team, and postdocs are expected to conduct independent and challenging research under the PI’s close supervision and work in a highly collaborative manner.

Recent PhD graduates from related fields and with record of publications can apply. A strong laboratory experience with penetrating knowledge of molecular/cellular biology and biochemistry techniques, proficiency in mice experiments, and demonstrated ability to work independently with self-initiative, pro-active thinking are required. Previous experience with ‘omics’ approaches and bioinformatics would be helpful. The candidate should have highest scientific integrity and strong commitment to research excellence and achieving assigned objectives. Interested applicants should email Dr. Liang at chengyu.liang@med.usc.edu with a copy of their CV, names of three references, and their scientific interests
