　　We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Scientist to the Division of Structural Studies to undertake single particle electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) and electron cryo-tomography (cryo-ET) analysis of multi-subunit complexes that regulate the cell cycle, specifically the mechanism of chromosome segregation. This position is located at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK within Dr David Barford’s Group.

　　The project would suit a highly motivated and committed Scientist interested in molecular mechanisms of the cell cycle.

　　The successful applicant will hold at least a PhD (or equivalent) in a biological / physical science. Experience with either single particle electron microscopy or electron cryo-tomography is essential.

　　The successful applicant will be awarded a three-year Career Development Fellowship / Postdoctoral training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
