  Job Description

  A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Madeleine Duvic MD and Xiao Ni, MD, PhD in the Department of Dermatology, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. We are looking for highly self-motivated candidates with a recent PhD or MD/PhD degree, to validate newly-identified gene mutations and fusion genes in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas, to investigate their oncogenic roles, and to test/design new therapeutic strategies in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.   Successful candidate is expected to provide his/her scientific expertise and organizational skills in various research projects. Successful candidate must be able to create hypothesis driven experiments, to design/standardize/validate new methods, and be able to interpret results. Other skills include performing technical laboratory duties in accordance with general and/or specific plans, read/write/edit manuscripts and reports, as well as help with grant writing. Experience in one of the following areas is preferred: human genomics/CRISPR-Cas9 technology, biochemistry, molecular biology, mouse models, cancer biology, and/or experimental therapeutics.
