　　The Buchler lab (https://buchlerlab.wordpress.ncsu.edu/) has a post-doc position for an enthusiastic and highly motivated quantitative biologist interested in understanding how biological oscillators (e.g. cell cycle, metabolic rhythms, circadian clocks) have evolved to interact with one another. This is a 4-year NIH-funded position that tackles the fundamental problem of how the cell cycle interacts with metabolic rhythms in budding yeast, both within cells and between cells. Essential skills are the ability to design, fabricate, and use microfluidics, the ability to perform quantitative light microscopy, basic microbiology & molecular biology (PCR, cloning), and the math and computer skills to quantitatively analyze and interpret single cell data. Candidates with research experience in yeast genetics, cell biology, cell cycle, metabolism and/or mathematical modeling are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications received before November 30th, 2018 will receive full consideration with an earliest start date of late Jan/early Feb 2019.
