Job Description
Position Summary: A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the Mani Laboratory (https://www.mani.us ) at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston to dissect out the molecular mechanism that regulates cancer stem cell properties. In particular, this candidate will focus to understand how the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) makes cancer cells to become cancer stem cells and how these CSCs escape the immune system. Postdoctoral fellows from the Mani lab get the opportunity to collaborate with clinicians and other basic scientists within MD Anderson as well as across the Texas Medical Center.
Required Qualifications: Only motivated and enthusiastic individuals with Ph.D. training in cell biology, cancer biology, molecular biology, and genetics or other closely related areas are welcome to apply. Candidate with research extensive experience in cancer biology as well as handling mice are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to perform experimental work, published papers, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Candidates must also be good in scientific communication, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
