　　Multidisciplinary Research Project at: The Roslin Institute, The University of Edinburgh

　　Research on both chromatin biology and haematopoiesis at the University of Edinburgh has expanded dramatically over the last few years and has became one of the strongest in the UK. This postdoctoral position under the supervision of Vernimmen (Roslin), and the Ponting Group (IGMM) and the Queen Mary University of London in the Kranc Group (Barts Cancer Institute) offers an excellent opportunity to obtain multidisciplinary training in these fields. We seek to recruit a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic and enthusiastic research groups to investigate molecular (Doug Vernimmen), cell biology (Kamil Kranc) and computational (Chris Ponting) aspects of epigenetics and cancer stem cell biology in acute myeloid leukaemia.

　　This exciting project will focus on epigenetic pathways of human cells functions and the role of these pathways in leukaemic stem cell behaviour. We intend to utilise this knowledge to contribute to the development of epigenetic therapy targeting leukaemic stem cells.

　　The applicants should have PhD, or near completion, in life sciences, and strong expertise in molecular biology (ChIPseq, RNAseq, ATACseq, and CRISPR approaches) with relevant publications. Knowledge in cell biology and bioinformatics approaches is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team as well as semi-independently are crucial.
