　　Job Description

　　The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in Polar Geophysics. This Postdoctoral Research Scientist will be actively involved in the analysis and interpretation of the ROSETTA-Ice program working with gravity and magnetics to constrain the grounding line dynamics as well as working on the strap-down gravity meter data to work towards developing a drone capable instrument. The successful candidate will join a group working on problems including ice dynamics, ice shelf stability and bathymetry from gravity.

　　Requirements: A Ph.D. in geophysics, glaciology, geodesy, engineering or a related discipline is required. Candidates with research interests in both ice sheet processes and geodynamics and geodesy are encouraged to apply. Experience in potential field geophysics is not required but would be very useful.

　　Proposed starting date: September 1, 2018

　　Appointment will be for 1-year, with continuation pending funding and progress.
