Research Assistant (Post-Doc)
(E13 TV-G-U)

within the framework of a DFG project (SFB 815; www.redox-sfb.de), from 01.07.2018-31.12.2020. The salary is based on the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to the Goethe University.

The position includes the following tasks:
• Participation in a research project focusing on the activation of the Ca2+-activated protease – calpain – and its role in modifying protein function during the development of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
• Collection of experimental data, analysis and documentation of the results and preparation of the material for publication.

Requirements:
• A completed, very good doctorate in biology, biotechnology, molecular medicine.
• Experience in cardiovascular biology and physiology.
• Good self-organization and team working abilities.
• While German is not necessary, excellent English is required in both written and spoken language.
