Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine

The Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery and Program of Regenerative Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine invites applications from highly motivated scientists with experience in developmental biology, neuroscience, or bioengineering for a full-time postdoctoral position.

Applicants will be expected to participate in a research program on the basic stem cell biology using sweat gland as a model, to study glandular development, function, disorders and regeneration. Candidates with background in neuroscience and skills in imaging and bioinformatics will have high priority. Candidates should have a PhD in biology or related fields in Biomedical Sciences. 

Three projects are currently available: 1) Fate specification of the stem cells in the skin; 2) Neuronal control of sweat gland development and function; 3) Establishment of glandular organoid system and skin regeneration.
