PhD (part-time) / and Post-Doc (full-time, Group Leader) positions in Cellular Biochemistry:
“How MHC-I editing complexes shape the hierarchical immune response” (A)
“Control of mRNA translation by ribosome recycling” (B)

The Institute of Biochemistry (www.biochem.uni-frankfurt.de) at Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany offers a PhD or Post-Doc / Group Leader (E13, TV-G-U) position for a 3-year period.

We are looking for someone to support our ambitious research on either project (A) dealing with the inner working of the MHC I peptide loading and chaperone complexes, or on project (B) regarding the control of mRNA translation by ribosome recycling.

You will be part of our committed team striving to elucidate the mechanistic basis of the MHC I chaperone and peptide-loading complexes and how they shape the immune response against virally or malignantly transformed cells. In project B, you will address the important role of ribosome recycling in mRNA translation.

For our challenging projects, we are searching for candidates with a strong interest in biochemistry, cell and structural biology. You will be working in a lively, international, and forefront-equipped research environment, embedded in the Life Science Campus Riedberg, Goethe University.
