  · Research position focused on plant development in the University of Sydney

  · Full-time, 2 Years Fixed-Term, Camperdown location

  · Academic Level A, Base Salary: $71,409 p.a. - $90,276 p.a. plus leave loading and a generous employer’s contribution to superannuation. Visa sponsorship is available if required.

  About the opportunity

  Applications are invited for a Research Associate to participate in and continue a laboratory research program investigating plant development. Specifically, the focus is to understand how genes involved in leaf dorsoventrality regulate leaf positioning, morphogenesis and cell type patterning. This work will be collated and prepared for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

  About you

  · Use of Arabidopsis thaliana in research

  · Gene expression techniques

  · Confocal imaging

  · DNA cloning techniques

  We are looking for a Research Associate with BSc (Honours) or equivalent and PhD in Plant Development or closely-related discipline.
