文章来源:知识人网       更新时间:2018年05月18日

Job Description

The NCI Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP) is now accepting applications for Cancer Prevention Fellows. This is a unique postdoctoral training opportunity for researchers, scientists and clinicians with an interest in working in cancer prevention.

The CPFP provides its fellows an opportunity to develop an independent research program in cancer prevention. The centerpiece of the program is mentored, multidisciplinary research. With input from senior scientists and program staff, each fellow develops original scientific projects and reports findings at meetings and in leading journals.

The program provides:

• Competitive stipends, relocation expenses, health insurance benefits, and travel allowances
• Support for up to four years
• Opportunity to earn your MPH, sponsored by NCI
• Research opportunities with experienced NCI mentors
• A cohort of fellows spanning STEM and other fields

To be considered for the CPFP, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Doctoral degree

You must have a PhD, MD, or other doctoral degree in a related discipline (e.g., epidemiology, biomedical sciences, nursing, medicine, health services, disparities, psychology, nutritional sciences, pharmacology, toxicology, biostatistics, engineering, translational science, public health, and more).

Applicants currently enrolled in accredited doctoral degree programs that have not yet fulfilled all degree requirements are welcome to apply, with the understanding that all requirements will be completed before the start of the CPFP. Assurance to this effect must be supplied in writing by the chair of the dissertation committee (e.g., PhD candidates) or the dean of the school (e.g., MD candidates).
Foreign education must be comparable to that received in the United States.

Prior postdoctoral experience

You must have less than five years of relevant postdoctoral research experience at the time of appointment.

Citizenship

You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States at the time of application, or you must be applying through the Ireland–Northern Ireland–NCI Cancer Consortium.

How to Apply

The application deadline is August 25, 2018, and applications are accepted only through the CPFP online submission system (https://applications.cpfp.cancer.gov/fellowship/fellowship.php).
