　　Postdoctoral positions in COMPUTATIONAL GENOMICS OF CANCER are available in Dr. Alexander Krasnitz’s research group at the Simons Center for Quantitative Biology, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

 

　　The Krasnitz Group specializes in the early detection of cancer; tumor heterogeneity; single-cell genomics; and immune response to tumors. The Krasnitz Group collaborates closely with several experimental laboratories at CSHL, and the possibility exists for the right candidate to conduct experimental research, alongside computational research in CANCER GENOMICS.

　　EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

　　Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, genetics, molecular biology, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field. Fluency in informatics, including programming in R, Python or similar languages.

 

　　DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

　　Research experience in computational genomics or a closely related field. Working knowledge of methods and tools of next-generation sequence analysis. Knowledge in handling Big Data. Knowledge of methods of molecular biology.
