Our laboratory, part of the Division of Neurobiology at Johns Hopkins directed by Dr. Christopher Ross, is interested in the identification and characterization of therapeutic targets for the treatment of Huntington’s disease (HD) and related disorders. As part of this effort, we have received funding to explore the molecular biology of huntingtin, the HD gene, with an emphasis on the mechanisms that regulate its expression and on searching for small molecules that may treat HD by decreasing expression of huntingtin. We are seeking a post-doc to take a leading role in this project. In particular, strong candidates will have extensive experience in mechanisms of gene regulation or drug discovery and a long-term career interest in neurodegenerative or neuropsychiatric disorders.
If interested, please send a letter describing your experience and interests, with an attached CV, to rmargoli@jhmi.edu, office phone 410-614-4262.
