We have a Postdoctoral position available immediately at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to explore the intersection of virology, immunology and clinical factors involved with HIV+ to HIV+ kidney and liver transplantation. The successful candidate will work primarily with the Core lab team, but will interact on a regular basis with the HOPE (HIV Organ Policy Equity Act) in Action clinical and analysis teams as well. The work will initially include utilizing techniques in next-generation sequencing, laser capture microdissection, and single-cell genomic analysis. Previous molecular biology experience is required, and experience in any of these techniques would be a plus. After the initial projects the possibilities for future research on the immunology, virology, and pathology in this project are numerous. The position is extremely well-funded, and ideal for candidate interested in pursuing a K-training grant. Therefore, the position could be a good jumping off point for an independent career for a new PhD graduate, or even someone with a couple years of post-doc experience.

The applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, demonstrated successful research experience and publication record, and works well in a team. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
