Postdoctoral Research Associate - Supramolecular Chemistry and Cooperative Phenomena in Molecular Nanostructures : Oxford, United Kingdom

Salary: Grade 7: £31,604 - £33,518 p.a.

 

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work under the supervision of Professor Harry L Anderson on a project funded by the European Research Council for a period of 17 months.


 

The project involves investigating the synthesis and properties of porphyrin nanorings and related systems. Find out more about the research group at: http://hla.chem.ox.ac.uk/.


 

Duties will include managing own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small-scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of research, acting as a source of information and advice to other members of the group and representing the research group at external meetings, either with other members of the group or alone.


 

You should have a PhD in Chemistry, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. You should have expertise in organic synthesis and physical (organic) chemistry.


 

The post will be based in the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and is available from 1 December 2017.
