Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a Medical Research Council funded project characterising genes linked to psychiatric disorders. Reporting to Dr Elizabeth Tunbridge, you would join a team of researchers including collaborators at the Earlham Institute, Norwich, and the Lieber Institute for Brain Development [LIBD], US). You will be based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford.
The post is for a fixed-term (funded for 18 months).
You will have responsibility for the molecular biology studies detailed in a MRC Grant. You will manage your own research and administrative activities and may also provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students.
You will have (or be close to completion of) a PhD in molecular biology, together with experience of a range of molecular biology techniques. You must be able to work collaboratively and manage your own research and activities, and have experience of contributing to publications/presentations.
