A postdoctoral position is available in the Chemistry Department at Temple University. The position resides within the confines of the Department of Energy funded Center for the Computational Design of Functional Layered Materials (CCDM) at Temple. The focus of the Center is the rational design of layered semiconductor materials for use in energy applications, such as water splitting and carbon dioxide reduction. The successful applicant will focus (at least initially) on the surface (photo)reactivity and (photo)catalytic properties of molybdenum disulfide and manganese oxides. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in surface science, catalysis, and electrochemistry. Please send by email a cover letter, CV, and three letters of recommendations to Professor Daniel Strongin. E-mail: dstrongi@temple.edu
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Temple University is an equal opportunity, equal access, affirmative action employer committed to achieving a diverse community (AA,EOE,M/F/D/V). |
