Job Description
The Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft announce a
Max Planck Research Group
in the area of Biophysics, Molecular Plant Sciences or Neurobiology
The group will be located at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
The successful candidate should be early in her/his scientific career. The candidate is expected to develop an internationally competitive research program. Ideally, the scientific activities would complement ongoing research at the University and at the host institute of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft.
Funding covers a start-up equipment package (500,000 Polish Zlotys which is an equivalent to approx 150.000 Euro) and necessary and adequate running costs. In addition, funding is provided for the position of the group leader at the level of an associate professor and further staff members (one post-doctoral fellow post or two graduate students, one Ph.D. student and one technician) to be employed at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The initial appointment of the group leader is for 5 years with the possibility of extension (2 × 2 years) after international review.
